Our attention is our power and we keep giving it away.

It truly is the test of our time to achieve a balance between holding awareness of goings-on in our external world and maintaining a connection to our personal desires; to know what it is we want and to stay rooted in our agency to get it.

I’ve said it before (and will probably say it again)…this is MY life. I will determine what it looks like. It’s my birthright to live it the way I want and I’m too stubborn to allow anyone else to choose for me- Trudeau, Shwaub, insert any name of supposedly scary person here. They don’t matter to me- what I want to do while I exist does.

A prevention of internalizing the constant broadcasts designed to hook our emotions and hold us hostage requires boundaries. It takes effort to choose where we put our focus. It takes energy to create. And time.

We only have so much time to spend so it’s wise to be picky with our investment.

It’s a warrior-level skill to withstand the pull to join the misery of the company, to remain steadfast and focused on dreaming, creating, and building what comes next by applying the power of our imagination. To choose for ourselves what we want to be, do, and have. To ask so that we can receive.

Like a diet of nutritious food serves our well-being by providing the body, brain, and spirit what it needs to operate optimally so too does what we ingest by way of ideas, information and media.

Like a plant that thrives in a sunny greenhouse under focused care and attention, regularly fed the essential elements and conditions it needs for growth and flourishing, we too require nutritious terrain to become what we are destined to become. I’m creating this series to act like fertilizer sprinkled on your soil.
