I am excited to present the next instalment of the POST POST PODCAST.

My lovely guest is Andrew, of Dad Explains.

This week you get to meet the man behind the avatar that is now so familiar to many of us- the one that depicts a fatherly figure sporting a grey-tinged beard that says “I’ve lived some life, I’ve learned some lessons, and I’m here to graciously share my wisdom with all of you.”

Inspired by the desire to provide a legacy of guidance for his four children, Andrew writes:

From the heart of a father, this guidebook is more than just advice—it's a compass for navigating the intricate paths of life, relationships, and personal growth.

In my short experience on Substack, I’ve noticed that Andrew offers a warm and comforting presence on the platform and in the community. He consistently manages to write posts and notes that are delicious blends of humility and strength, earnestess and curiosity, knowledge and wisdom- always seasoned with a dash of humour and a sense of play.

During our talk, I got to experience his sincerity and humility firsthand, as this writing from his About section shows:

I do not claim to know everything. I do not claim to be correct about everything I think or write or say. I will claim, and do claim, that I pour my heart and soul out onto these pages and in these posts. These are written towards my children, from their father. I take my duties very seriously.

What that means is the content you are getting from this substack is as honest, genuine, unfiltered, unmoderated, naked, unedited, full of mistakes, full of love, and as full of conviction and passion as I can manage because you damn well better believe I am going to give my everything to my children. And, by some sort of literary and technological transitive property, I am giving it all to you as well, dear reader.

There is an undeniable generosity of spirit in this Dad who is simply devoted to giving his kids the best support and love a parent can.

And we all get to benefit from his efforts to do so.
