Good evening! (at least it is here where I am typing this.)
After surviving & thriving my way to the end of another day inside this beautiful and complicated school of a world, I made the choice to nurture myself into sleep-mode with a hot bath.
The tub is a place where I do some of my best thinking.
I know, I know…I’m supposed to be relaxing and zen-ing out when taking a bath…
…and trust me, I am.
Which is why I say my best thinking rather than my worst.
I thought I’d share with you one of those thoughts that just popped up.
It’s only a 1 minute and 20 second long stream of ‘off the cuff’ thought.
It won’t resonate with everybody~ perhaps just those who can’t get a good wrangle on their over-extended compassion or those who strive to balance caring with peace.
Anyone who has a heart that bleeds might relate.
I wish you all a goodnight…and take good care of your hearts.
love
Jacqueline
Yes! You have to care for yourself, to protect your sensitivities in order to be able to care for the larger order of things without causing yourself the extra sensory pain. Fascinating...
Many of us, of an overly empathetic nature, have suffered greatly (in vain) trying to overpower the very nature of this existence. I think it speaks to our Devine origins. Wisdom eventually dictates a more harmonious approach to that which we cannot bend to our will. (My version of exactly what you just said. 😆) Thanks for sharing Jacqueline.
Funny, I’ve just created my own zen moment...
