Yes! You have to care for yourself, to protect your sensitivities in order to be able to care for the larger order of things without causing yourself the extra sensory pain. Fascinating...

Yes, absolutely! It is a very fine art to gain the skill required to keep the heart open without overwhelming it. Escaping, numbing or ostrich-ing are not viable options! ;)

Many of us, of an overly empathetic nature, have suffered greatly (in vain) trying to overpower the very nature of this existence. I think it speaks to our Devine origins. Wisdom eventually dictates a more harmonious approach to that which we cannot bend to our will. (My version of exactly what you just said. 😆) Thanks for sharing Jacqueline.
