Nicely done. I didn't want to comment until I made it through the video, you were my soundtrack drive to work this morning. I don't have anything to critique, you nailed it darlin'. Keep on keeping on.

Introduction - AKA: "SO CUTE PERSON!"

Hello!

You say "There are a lot of ideologies that are just ....*head side to side..."hmphf."..*face..* PAhahhahah.

You don't stick to schedules and you don't even know what day it is. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAhahhaa.

I LOVE this about you.

If only we could ALL FORGET what day it is. I aspire to be able to forget this year :) So , shall I forget .(after this two weeks of serious crunch time on some deadlines.......)

Yes, "what IS the point" of wondering why you are doing it! Just do it!

Listening to you talk about be that light made me ugly cry this morning :) But it was good.

You're so sweet, honey. :)

Herman Hess? Will look up right away....

I DIDNT EVEN NOTICE THE EYE MAKEUP! Haha.

You are so funny.

I love that you didn't re do it all. It's already perfect.

You are the best :)

I have a SHIRT here that I have to wash now :) I ruined it. It's warm enough here to remove shirt number two and use it to blow your nose on. Haha.

Loved this. Honestly in one's work, perfection isn't worth anyone's time, helping create a light we can live in... Lots of good ideas. Finally understood the thinking behind Post Post Modern.

Am I that scary?

O No! I guess I prefer to hide so this scares me. It must be my passive narcissistic self being outed? Or is it my fatal introvert? Idk.

It’s just basic ol’fear.

And I totally get it, as an ex-hider.

But what’s worse? Living in forever in your hole afraid of not being enough? of believing you’re not worthy of love? Or taking a risk to actually exit your cave and live a little while your alive?

O No. I'm never afraid that I'm not worthy of Love. I know the greatest Love, Joy and Truth. I met the Man. The big guy. He filled all of that.

It's the claws of the world that scare me. They've shredded me before and its never a pleasant experience. You probably have no idea what I'm talking about. 😏

And I'd like to add: your search for Truth is the Natural Law that God embeds in all of us, in order to recognize Truth and find Him, because He IS Truth.

Lost u again, I bet.

The Hounds of Heaven are after you. Congratulations.

Congratulations Jacqueline. I wonder if I should coin you the warrior of empathy?! You look great, have a beautiful speaking voice, your authentic and thoughtful. One of my biggest heroes from history is Aristotle, he reminds me of a benevolent grandfather, that gently lifts dark cobweb veils, one after another, until all the masks have been removed, leaving the truth to shine. I saw the seeds of that your podcast, you don't stop at the first mystery. It is an interesting paradox to be gentle and a detective. Love it.

I love this! You've actually given me two nicknames: warrior of empathy and the gentle detective! hahaha! Thank you so very much, Michael. Coming from such an artist as yourself, it means a lot to me.

Okay, all done. Very good. Not easy to ask yourself questions and then answer them, and you pulled it off very nicely. Seemed totally organic. You are going to be a great interviewer for your many guests!

I loved your answers, but most especially about making each day count, not getting into a routine, going to bed satisfied with the accomplishments of the day. That is good stuff. I need to do more of that thinking myself. (It's easy to get into a comfy routine.)

We all got alienated by covid in so many ways, and now we are finding each other here. You are one of the reasons why I feel less lonely too.

I didn't think, "Oh goodness, her eye makeup ran." I thought, "I wish I were able to cry that easily and openly." I will go years without crying. Then I will sob inconsolably for over an hour. Then more years without 🤣

Really well done, JR.

YAY!! Pheww...huge breath out. AWESOME. Thank you. SO much. :)

I have booked your replacement as the first guest, and we'll be recording our talk tomorrow! So excited to hear the diversity of answers from everybody that I know will be fascinating!!

"I didn't think, "Oh goodness, her eye makeup ran." I thought, "I wish I were able to cry that easily and openly." I will go years without crying. Then I will sob inconsolably for over an hour. Then more years without 🤣"

I have NEVER struggled with being able to cry.

My mom used to always say to me (and I'm pretty sure it wasn't a compliment): "You're so sensitive, Jacqueline!" Ha! I feel for you that you (and many) can't do it so easily. It's so cleansing and such a good release, like undergoing a mini-thunderstorm. You're more like a drought finally getting drowned in a monsoon or tsunami!

I hope it goes well. But as you are discovering, even when something seems like it is not "going well" according to some "official" standard, there will still be something beautiful about it. More beautiful, because it is real.

Droughts relieved by downpours,

Oh, how exciting.

A week of monsoons,

Sounds so inviting…

I was just talking to John Carter about this very thing, to his mind Substack is a primarily essayist platform which I argue is all well and good. He wants an alternative academic world to the university, whereas I've lived there and honestly outside of the history departments found them intolerably boring places.

I like some of the essays I type up, but they give me little joy and satisfaction. Same goes for short-stories, whereas fantasy novels and the publishing of them on Susbtack while it may not grow my stack all that much (as he says), but it gives me considerable more joy.

I love writing fantasy stories, and works of art inspire me much more than political essays, philosophical musings or reviews. Academia is where creative joy goes to die I think, at this point while literary creation is where joy can be found.

I know this is a somewhat controversial thing to say hereon Substack (I do love substack and do like a lot of essays I see here), I just think that art, novels, music, these things are of the utmost importance. It is the post-modern world that wishes to shunt those aside as they are unscientific, and needless to it. While pre-modernity and post-post-modernity as you put it, are to be filled with art and beauty I hope.

Here, here! Lots and lots of beauty!!

Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment.

I think the key to joy is creativity & connectivity. People are wanting to feel less alone and more connected, and to remember what is real inside the construct/s. It is my desire to provide them with that vital nutrient with my channel and art.

Good for you, I like that idea for a channel and art, it is also what motivates me with my novels.

It took me a few days to find the right time to soak up your interview, enjoyed it thoroughly. Never noticed your makeup, but “genuine” is the finest of your many fine attributes. I hope that many future interviews spiral away from regimen just like you enjoy your personal time. It’s just more fun that way. Great start, nice to get to know you better. Good luck Jacqueline .

Todd!! Thank you so much for this feedback. I'm so happy you enjoyed it. And 'thoroughly' at that!!

I hear you about the regimen. For now, it's giving me a good place to start. I do imagine I could have a great conversation with any one of the Stackers I've been meeting, but I want to ensure I offer something of value to the listener who, like you, has limited time. Now that's it's off and running, I foresee it taking a new shape as we play into the unwritten future...
