Especially for those of us who craft sonically- it’s the only way we really want the music to be heard!!

And thank you so so much for listening and checking out my channel. It’s this sort of message that really makes my day!! 🙏✨🎸

I live in the south. Today i noticed the daffodils had bloomed in the southern corner of my yard. Cherry blossoms down the street. Buds on the hydrangea... Beautiful video and interesting, contemplative, bold music to begin the season of new life.

Magnolias.. The sister magnolias? Tulip magnolias? Here in the south US the magnolias dont bloom till summer. But the tulip magnolias start in march april up north. So thats cool you are seeing them already

Yes March is when they start to flower here...always a beautiful sign of spring for me!! I don’t what the genus is- they have a white, and pink/mauve petal. Gorgeous graceful limbs.

Gorgeous! The plum, peach, nectarine in our garden are in full blossom ~ in February! Normally it would only be the magnolia and Japanese quince at this time of year. It is glorious to welcome them early, in balmy spring weather (in Central Portugal)

Thank you for your very timely Ode to Spring 🌹🌸🌺 🙏

Wow! What a way to start my morning. I have seen slow motion photography and never noticed the dancing movement before. It was perfect with the music. I am incredibly honored to know you. I can go into full blown groupie mode when it comes to musicians and music. It is certainly an altered realm and a very different version of “reality.”

I love the distortion on that guitar, so meaty and full.

It's funny, I also have a big archive of old recordings and demos, unfinished ideas that I like and intend to get back to one day, but I just keep writing and recording new stuff. I guess we all do that, the recording studio becomes like a sketchpad.

Frater!! Thank you! :)

And YES!! It's so easy to start new projects and capture ideas, endlessly.

I'm in the process of attempting to give those gems that sparkle a little brighter than the others a home outside of my hard-drive. LOL!

Yes, I recently went through my archives of analogue recordings dating back to the early 80's. I put together a huge folder of 'good' and 'not so good' ideas, I plan on revisiting the good ones here and there when I am feeling nostalgic for old material to rework. The problem is, there is so much material, but I guess that is a nice problem to have - better than being blocked and having nothing to work on.

Expand full comment
Jacqueline Rendell's avatar

hahahaa!! I love the 'not so good' folder.

You're right- it's way better to have ideas to draw on for inspiration than none at all.

Are you like me in that you end up finding pieces/sketches you don't even remember making? Happens to me ALL THE TIME.
